Dried Mushrooms

Mazatepec is a Mexican landrace P. cubensis strain — collected from the Mazatec region of Oaxaca, the same cultural context as Maria Sabina and the ceremony-based use that brought psilocybin mushrooms to Western attention in the 1950s. It has been in continuous cultivation since and is among the oldest documented cubensis cultivars.
Potency is at the lower end of the cubensis range, typically 0.55–0.65% total tryptamines. The experience is characterised by warmth, spiritual openness, and a gentle visual field — researchers seeking a quieter, more introspective session often find Mazatepec more appropriate than the higher-potency modern cultivars.
